Portland Trip- Day 2

Emma took this picture of the second day of our Portland trip and it is the only one we got before the camera battery died. I am dissappointed by this, although I must say, it is fairly indicative of what we did- in that we didn't do much. The girls and I got up to have breakfast with Ross before he headed out to his first day of training. After he left, we went back to the room and the girls played around while I did some work and got some rest. We hit the pool, and then the girls napped while I finished up a lesson plan and watched Oprah.

When Ross got back from work, we went to dinner at a nice little river-side restaurant. McCormick and Schmidts- sShrimp fettuchini and seafood corn chowder. It was really good!

After that, we jumped on the street car and went to Safeway to get some groceries. While on the street car, we met some very interesting people who were completely drunk and most likely homeless. One of them had a pet rat. The other said he made a living off of guessing people's ages. They were extremely entertaining!

Afterwards, we headed back to the hotel and went to bed early.
