Thanksgiving Point, and Selecting Our Tree

We have discovered that Thanksgiving Point is a winter wonderland during Christmas. They had real reindeer, and had live demonstrations of ice sculpting every Tuesday and Thursday in December. We took one of these nights to get into the spirit, and then got our Christmas tree on the way home.

Ross has been very easy going every year with my plans for the tree. This year he finally put his foot down and said he wanted a real tree. It was a fun experience, but I don't know that this is something we will do every year. It was a big mess, and it got so brown so fast that I wasn't able to keep it up until February as has been my habit in the past. We loved the experience, though, and it gave us the chance to loan out our pretty fake tree to Joe and Wendy who were celebrating their first Christmas as a married couple.

Okay, first of all, you are tiny! I thought you were one of the kids for a second.
Second, I love real trees, but it would never work in my house, because of my vacuuming allergy.
