Nightmare on Revere Way

When it got a little too quiet, Ross and I got a horrbile feeling. We just knew that this extended silence could only be caused by something terrible. This is what we found. Brace yourselves- it is a little graphic in parts!
Ross and I were talking about how it looked like a crime scene from NCIS. We were discussing what kind of weapon would have been used to cause this splatter (revolver of some sort) and what the victim would have been doing at the time (plucking her eyebrows, or something causing her to bend down a bit). We also noted that there were three distinct colors of blood probably meaning multiple victims. There was an obvious struggle meaning neither victim was killed instantly. Anyway, the object of this creepy paragraph is to say that we are fairly certain that watching NCIS so much lately has qualified us to examine any crime scene that you may be presented with. We are pretty good!

Yep- that is ALL of the lipstick that I own. All of it. Red. On our white paint. . . and Carpet. There were some tears shed by a number of different people that night.
Sara didn't shed any until Ross started wiping it all off.
I wondered how Emma got out of this with only a few stains on her (BRAND NEW!!) pants. Sneaky little devil! She didn't like the pants because they had a cute belt attached and she didn't like it. Let me know if anyone has any tips to get red lipstick out of khaki pants. These are the real victims here. 2 of my eyeshadow brushes were ruined, and 3 almost FULL tubes of RED lipstick were completely gone. That right there is the remains of a Mr. Clean Eraser. Mr. Clean was definitely thanked for his efforts in my prayers that night. I thought for sure we would have to paint those doors- but that little stud took it ALL off. There was nothing left of it when I was done though. . .
The most ironic part about this was that Ross and I had been thinking about getting some child-safe knob locky things for the doors to our bathroom, the office and the pantry for a few weeks. This happened the day I was finally able to find some that fit into our budget. Less than 24 hours later!! I am certain this was some kind of rebellion for my lack of trust in Emma. She just had to show me that if she wanted to cause some mischief, she would find a way. And she did.

Haha. I'm glad you were able to get the lipstick off the door. I hope you can get it out of the clothes and carpet as well.

I don't know what possesses kids to do this. Not that I'm innocent. I have a picture of me as a three-year-old with lipstick smeared COMPLETELY over my face. Seriously, my face was completely red. My mom said she laughed too hard to punish me. But I don' think I ever did it again.

This may not help, but just be glad that it wasn't red nail polish! I doubt Mr. Clean would have been able to get that off the doors. Sorry about all the other ruined stuff. A sad moment for me was in high school when my niece had spilled red nail polish on my favorite soft mittens that were one-of-a-kind. Sniff!

I would try dish soap on the pants, since it supposedly cuts grease. I used some on my pale gray carpet to remove car oil smears (don't ask me how it got there, I don't know), and it worked. Also WD-40 helped remove gum from one of Cadence's nightgowns. I would try the dish soap first. I bet the red has leached into the fabric forever, though.

Good luck.
