On the Second Date of Christmas, My True Love Took Us To: The Festival of Trees 2011

We almost didn't go this year as I haven't been feeling too hot, and we were busy the night we normally would have gone.  The morning of the last day, however, we decided that we would regret not going, so we packed everyone up and headed to Sandy.  I am so glad we did.  It was a wonderful day.  Here are some of our favorites.

Jack loved the Charlie Brown display, and so did Ross as it reminded him of his Grandpa who collected Snoopy memorabilia.

Ross liked this Army themed tree.  It was very cool with subtle camoflague colors and antique stars and decorations.
We thought Grandma Jones would enjoy this school supply themed tree.  All the decorations were made from legal pads, pencils, and crayons.  Very creative!

This was my favorite.  There were owls, and that star is amazing.  I want to make one for my tree for next year.

See how pretty!  I plan to hit the after Christmas craft store sales to try and find what I need to make one.
Ross loves these bears.  He has wanted one since we got married.
We bought fudge and suckers and cotton candy and thoroughly enjoyed our time.  It really puts you in the mood, and I'll admit to tearing up more than once while there.  I love this tradition, and I am glad we fit it in this year.

This is my personal favorite of your holiday traditions. I always want to go, I always intend to go, but I don't want to pay for tickets. I keep trying to win them anyway... maybe trying to win tickets to the Festival of Trees is my new tradition...
