Piano Lessons For Emma

One of Emma's Christmas gifts was some piano books for her new piano lessons. A friend of mine in the area is an AMAZING pianist and a lot of the kids in the area go to her for lessons. I decided that Emma is ready to start learning a skill that I wish I had pursued when I was younger. (Sorry, Mom. I know you tried.)

Here she is getting ready for her first lesson. She gave Sara lots of hugs and promised that when she gets bigger, Emma will give her lessons. That's not exactly what I had planned, but that would be fine with me! She is sooo excited!
On the way there, she started to get a little bit nervous and kept asking me if her teacher was nice, and if she would ever come home, and if other kids would be there. When she found out she would be the only kid, she got even more nervous, but she was happy and settled when I picked her up half an hour later.
She practices every day which is kind of funny right now since she doesn't have any real songs yet. She is still learning all the beginning theory stuff. We just practice how to sit, how to hold her hands, how to play loud and soft, and how to differentiate between her right and left hands. She should get her first song this week, so I am sure her practicing will get even more fun.
