Califronia Trip Day 2: The Oyster Farm

After lounging on the beach, we decided to check out the oyster farm. There were signs pointing to it, and we were curious. It was cool. They even let Ross try a little one for free. He liked it! :)

We bought a jar of freshly picked and shelled oysters for my family and went shell seeking on the beach there.

There was no sand- just shells. I have never seen anything like it. We tried to find some unbroken shells for souvenirs.

We saw Sebastien and some of his little black friends.
Can you spot the tiny black crab?
This was such an educational and unique experience. I am glad we stopped by there. We stopped at a Red Lobster on the way back to the hotel to enjoy some crab legs, shrimp, lobster tail, and clam chowder. The hostess even took a live lobster out of the tank for the kids to look at and touch. Awesome day!
