Some Like it HOT!

We were at a Mexican restaurant when Ross thought it would be funny to give Luke a taste of the very spicy salsa. He wanted to see the sad reaction. We were a bit surprised when instead of cries, we got giggles and a bowl licking. To say he liked it would be an understatement. Since this was Daddy's brilliant idea, he was put on diaper duty the next day.
Spicy enough to need some water, but not enough to stop him from going back for more. Kids are fun.

Sara's Kindergarten Job Fair

The Kindergarten had a job fair where they were to make a poster detailing some information about the career they want when they grow up. Sara did hers on being an artist. She used her skills to decorate her poster, and I love the way she dressed up. The creative little thing makes our lives so beautiful and bright.

Visits from Grandma Goodman

We get to see more of Grandma Goodman now than we ever have. She makes trips down here quite often to help Rex. Every time she does, we try to get up there to see her, or we take the chance to take to the airport. The kids love getting more time with her. She is such a fun and loving grandma.

A REAL FIRE TRUCK!

We were leaving Zupas one night when Jack got to live out one of his dreams. I fire broke out at the In'N'Out, and he got to watch as a REAL FIRE TRUCK rolled in to put it out. He just kept jumping and screaming, "This is AMAZING!" Boys are fun.

February Friday Picnic

Every Friday, the girls get out of school early. We use these days to have a fun family adventure. On this day in February, the weather was shockingly nice, and the kids all wanted to have a picnic. We got one of Emma's Book It! pizzas, and the rest of us enjoyed some Panda Express. It was lovely. I love these annual Utah early spring fake-outs. I always know the snow will return, but it's nice to have a chance to remember what the sun looks like for a bit.

Family Farr's Trip

Emma's primary teachers gave her a gift card to Farr's Ice Cream for Christmas. It took us until January to finally use it. We headed there for FHE one night and had a lovely time.

Dr. Leo

Whenever someone is sick in our house, Dr. Leo makes sure he is there with his healing snuggles and purrs. Every time. His bedside manner is impeccable, and I swear loving on him actually lessens pain and lowers fevers. We love our magical love-sponge of a cat.

Ward Valentine's Dance

After hosting Grandma Goodman on Valentine's Day and taking her to the airport the next day, we headed home to make some treats for our ward Valentine's Dance. This was Ross's brain child, and it turned out so well. The Sorenson's brought their DJ stuff, the RS made a little craft corner for the kids, the wives of the bishopric put together a little photo booth, and we had a grand time with all our friends in the ward and neighborhood. So simple, but so fun. I love where we live.
Some of my cute young women shaking their groove thang!
My cute girls and their cute friends.

These kids have such a good daddy.

Sometimes I have to photo-bomb my good friends. Clearly, they find it as hilarious as I do.
My lovely friend, Emily came to join our fun. It was really fun to have her there, especially since I was still healing from my surgery and couldn't dance as much as I would have liked.

Emm's Cheer Team

Miss Emma wanted to participate in an after-school cheer program. She had a lot of fun and learned a lot of new things. She was chosen as one of the stunt girls, and she did a great job. It was fun to see her cute little smile and her hip popping out. This is definitely something she will do again next year.
Yes, Luke came to support her in a Santa hat. Pick your battles, you know?
